Need suggestions/opinions
I’m looking for some suggestions on 6.5s ($125-150 /pair) for my build I’m working on. I’ve wired speakers to HU and wired in an amp and sub a handful of times before but this is my first time dealing with speakers to amp. I’m using a polk audio 880 monoblock amp (300w @ 2ohm / 500w @ 4ohm) because it’s just been laying around since I blew the sub it was running. I like polk, got some in one of my car and they sound great, I’ve been considering the mm651 speakers for this build. I’m running 2 midbass 8in speakers (150 RMS) so I believe need something that’s 100-125 RMS. Also wondering if the amp is not going to be ideal for what I’m trying to do? Thanks.

you cant run a pair of speakers off a monoblock amp, unless they are subwoofers. You have a mono output, so stereo will be lost. Also, the monoblock probably has a built in low pass filter.
you will need a 2 channel amp at minimum.
