In the end if i do this properly i would like to throw it in a few comps but ya for the most part it will be a daily driver,

But i want it to be capable of having Very high SPL

but i agree with the definite push towards 4 10's

Now to decide on brand, wat would you choose

OR

So visions quoted my old stereo at being worth 4800 dollars. now the insurance company wants me to come in and "talk about the claim" the problem is one set of my previous subs were bought by my x and lets just say she doesnt like me to much anymore, wtf should i do. and as for my other pieces like my sat radio, mp3 player i cant find reciepts same with when i bought the crappy pre build ported boxes wtf should i do. i can only imagine how much they are gonna try to screw me around any pointers on how i should deal with this like i have pieces of my mp3 player and sat radio like the spare battery and a charger, but have no proof for the boxes since i bought them from visions but cant find reciepts i can find , im pretty sure where the mp3 and sat radio were bought on visa statements,

I also think they are gonna screw me around since i bought all this stereo off of the internet at Wholesale prices right.

any help would be great guys, i just dont wanna get screwed and any personal experiences would be great? or pointers on how to approach the insurance company i have to go in and talk with them on wednesday

sorry about punctuation as well just typing this out really fast.

Arg this sucks with our Dollar being in the ******* but trying to figure things out if i went with 4 10's and the beast of an am as listed earlier, Would things run right the Subs are 2 ohm. but still not really sure how i would go abouts wiring the 4 subs to the one amp or if this will even be efficient. ???

sorry im kinda a noob with some of this. what do you mean by good, from what i understood if you connect several subs to one amplifier it reduces the ohms. "probably not making any sence"

It can increase or decrease based on how you wire, parallel or series.

This might help you: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161

with 4 dual 2 ohm voice coil subs you can get 1 ohm or .25 ohms

grr so it turns out, im gonna get 4800 dollars from my insurance company but it also sounds like i have to purchase the stereo from visions since thats who the quote came from through my insurance company.

not sure how that works but kinda sucks,

anyways i know i was thinking the smaller subs but kinda leaning towards 4 Kicker l7? 10 or 12's wat you guys thing
