Although he's obviously joking, he means that since he lives close to the home of Mach 5, he could test it out - then ship it to Jordy when he's done with it.

bah who cares. they are 5 years behind with this driver, why even bother making a 'spl' sub. u are not being different or creative or innovative, u are just slapping parts together that have been slapped together by other subwoofer companies for years.

besides, Ligeia has made a post in this thread thus totally killing any credibility this product might have had and rendering it useless overall. way to go buddy.

I know the proto was tested on 2kw and the results were very good. i think it hit a 142 (iirc) off 2kw, and thats damm good for a single 12 in the back of a SUV
thats actually pretty hurting

Actually it started out being a SPL oriented sub. But after several changes from all indications it should make for a very nice SQL daily driver. Some are comparing it to a beefed up SI Mag.

Think its worth buying one for someone like myself whos just getting started? Especially since its way cheaper than most other "SPL" subs?

know what pal? You're absolutely right. I've taken a 15+ year hiatus from driver designing, and when I come back to it, I see *absolutely nothing* innovative, creative or different. Its the same crap with fancy buzz words and 'technologies'. Oh, and let's not forget the added 25+ pounds of steel with holes in it to boot. I've seen it all before.

What you think is the best, I've already seen. The only difference is that back then it was unachievable cost-wise. Well, guess what? Now it is.

Pretty hurting? Don't buy it. Some will, and guess what? they will be satisfied too. Not because they had the *cough* 'ultimate technology', but they were actually able to save a few bucks while achieving their goal(s).

To me, that's what its all about. If you don''t like it, don't bother posting.

Bye!
