Hey is ligea friends with the sundown pal's that come to our shows in edmonton?

Dude, you are seriously so clueless... Like wow, your stupidity amazes me. This sub does not have any "new technology" and by the looks of it the only that that made it more of an "SQL" sub then the MT is the basket, because the motor looks the exact same and probably is. A pole vent helps cooling so much, and the only thing you are right about is there will be a higher BL when a pole vent is not used. But the "over motoring" thing is total BS because you can buy a Fi BTL with a pole vent if you want to use it for playing music. Take a commonly used subwoofer, hook it up to something such as a wall socket.... record how long it takes to blow up playing 60hz free air... now take the same sub and block the pole vent, and hook it up to the wall socket, I bet it will blow up faster.
Have you read Dr. Klippel's paper? I wish I still had the chat log where Nick Morgan (of Fi) said point blank that the reason the Q has a pole vent is to keep the BL (and specifically the Qes) appropriate for the intent of the driver. I'm sure you can email Scott and ask him if you'd like to. No matter what I say you won't agree, so you're probably better off asking him directly.

If you wish to passively cool the coil via air velocity, the best way to do it is through the back plate within the coil *gap*. And even then, it is minimal.
And if plugging a driver into a wall socket is your way of testing 'technology', then I suggest you stop your testing methods. Go to school and learn the basics first, then you can go from there.

plugging a speaker into a wall is a pretty sweet test because it is consistant voltage, and a consistant frequency. Who is neal? You guys are clowns, but if you want to prove me wrong, come to a db drag, and because you are so smart and know so much about everything I will be expecting to see you each take home a 1st place trophy. Maybe we can get a special one for you that says " I tried" or "Participant" It seems like the competitors with know-it-all-ism such as the sundown pals in Edmonton can never really put up decent numbers for some reason

Sundown pal's explain, complain and whine about how good the sundown amps are compared to other amps.... They come to a show with a hatchback car, and get beat in street B by .1 with someone who has a crossfire BMF-1000 and a deck that didnt have a remote.
So seeing as how both of you also suffer from know-it-all-ism I hope you can back up your sweet car audio education with some good numbers on the term lab.

You really told me off there didn't you Prolifuk? I'm sure after you hit the Post button a euphoric feeling came over you didn't it? I guess its par for the course now that I am expected to go to my corner and sit there and sulk about how butthurt I am...
Ain't gonna happen. Truth is, prototypes have circulated for months and have fallen into hands more experienced at SPL comps than you or I (oops, I'm sorry, but there actually is someone out there more proficient at this than you).
Results from different folks were favourable, and I was satisfied enough with what we accomplished to roll it out. Is it the end-all-beat-all of drivers? Heck no. Never said it was, or would be.
Did you notice what was said? 'I was satisfied'... yup, me. Not you. I could care less what you think or say. Got that? Ok. Good.
