no music, window down. spl reading 100db
when l was a punk ,read an article about a guy who always drove with the window down. he ended up with his left ear having a 60% loss of hearing over the right. l always drove with the window down on the passenger side after reading this.
bought an EPIC 150 with a built in spl mic. reads 100 db window down on the highway 105-110 when a truck goes by no music playing. any amp manual says caution to levels above 100.
secondly as men get older freq. above 16khz become inaudible.thats me
l have invested too much money to go deaf and wear plugs in the summer when cranking over 105. in sq comp the judges play around 90db.
useful info or not. your sq buddy dave

Here is a link to the USACi rules (USACi puts them online so they get the promo): http://www.soundoff.org/06advancedsqrules.htm
and what the Advanced Class scoresheet looks like so you can get an idea of what is considered: http://www.soundoff.org/supportfiles...05ADVANCED.pdf
