Im starting to think I might try some Parts Express stuff - like the Peerless and Dayton speakers and do like mentioned above and make my own 3 way setup....Caraudio.com raves about some of the Dayton stuff, and even the Peerless. Right now they have the Peerless 6.5" midbass for $10!!!! A couple people got like 6 and ran 2-3 each door and for the price say they are unbeatable. How wrong could I really go with running them for $10 and crossing them at say 60-250....something to consider....maybe even running some midbass under the dash.

I would stick with the doors or kicks for mid-bass.....the frequency range they cover is high enough to be part of your stereo image, putting them under the dash may cause some issues.......

^ I agree with BRG

I will repeat myself, if you are after high volume with your 150 wpc going to a 3 way wont help much (a little) you need a 6.5" woofer that can take the power you want to throw at it. The $10 dollar driver will probably severely disappoint and the Dayton is probably about as loud as what you have now but probably doesn't sound as good.

BTW is your 150 wpc amp rated 150 w RMS or peak? You didn't understand your current driver is rated for 75w RMS (never use peak power as a judgement of true power) so you might have the same problem with your amp a 75 wpc RMS amp wont get you where you want to go either

BTW I refer to "where you want to go" since I am trying to answer your original question. What you want is probably 105 to 110 dB of music (not bass) power, this SPL will severely damage your hearing over time so be warned.
