Okay New, Wait for Great, Oldies but Goodies

Hey there folks,
New to CCA and just wanted to throw a question out there.

Obviously we've all got different budgets, whether its for a new install or an upgrade, but what I want to know is this:

Do you spend your hard-earned cash on

a) what you can afford now

b) the best, but you wait until the money works itself out

c) what WAS the best, but has been used by someone else?

"the best" is such a impossible category that I have to say a).

If I was going all out I would probably spend 40k on gear which I just can't do.

To dream:

Alpine DVI-9990
Alpine PXA-H990
Alpine TMI-M990

Either a bunch of Luxman CM-20000's or Genesis Bespoke amps

A pair of Linear Power 4.1 HVS for subs

Either 4 Velodyne 12's or a pair of TAD 18's.

God knows what for drivers... maybe BE's all round.

Of course in full 5.1 or 2 channel, and additional screens and video sources.

a little of each.

if its something easily replaced, for example, using a prefab sub box while i build something good, then i dont mind spending a little quick cash for a lesser product.

generally when buying more important stuff, i go B or C
