Has a 13 band eq built in, and the premier model has 6.5 volt preouts. Motorized screen, and you can upload stuff onto the face (ie pics) if you have the link kit.

Well after the competition season I basically sold everything so I could pay for school. That's why.
I bought it for somewhere around $7-800? I can't remember exactly as it was a while ago. Actually it has more features then I needed, I mean this thing was absolutley loaded.
There's actually someone selling one on here, do a search and you'll find it, I think his name is rude trini.

The 940 is a nice deck and ive heard from people who have owned it say that it was an amazing deck etc. But why are you gonna spend 900 on a deck when you can get what you want, mp3 playback, in the 750mp and save yourself a bunch of money?

</font>[/QUOTE]Nice part take out the deck, then it's not so flashie at night time, I just like the idea of a deck with all the options built in, thats why if I got a screen it wouldn't be attached to my dash or molded anywhere else I like to keep things simple with out major modifcation... I am sure the deck is nice in person but I like the idea of MP3, plus Have like 10 disk with mp3 on them so not sence throwring them away, might as well get something that can read them, I am debating on the Pioner 850mp as well haven't ruled that out, buddy who is selling the 940 wants 825$ for it, and it's 11 months old back in november.. soo screw that.... guess I have to keep my eyes open .. I had alpine but wasn't a fan of there weak pre-outs having to have the sub out cranked to +15 to get anything decent out of it.

If you want a good sounding deck it will be found in the Eclipse line. If you need MP3 then there are two ways to go about it. It is all based upon where you want to go with your system, competition or not, if you want good sound it all starts at the cd player. A entry level Eclipse will school the Pioneer that you are interested in. It is not built to be a light show, it is built for sound quality. Here are another couple of options for you to consider.
(1) the entry level Eclipse CD3403 has MP3 built in. It does not have sub level control but does have true 2.7 volt non clipping pre-outs and 1 19hx resonant frequency on the laser sled. To get around the sub level issue (and if you think a Pioneer 5volt is better than the Eclipse 2.7volt (it's not though)) look into an Audio Conrol 3.1 . It is a line driver, master volume control and sub level control + other gadgets all wrapped up in one package.
The better route to go is...
(2) the Eclipse CD5423 - a 5volt non clipping preout, same 19hz laser sled, NO MP3 but now has sub level control. This will allow you to grow your sytstem, how... like this. If you put inb the Pioneer your system will never sound as good as an Eclipse, no matter what you do or add. If you forgive the MP3 in the Eclipse for now (add it later in one of two ways)you will have a superior sounding audio system with far more capabilities of expansion. Add the commander advance later as was previously mentioned or add the NEW Eclipse 20g hard drive that you can record on in the vehicle. This module comes with a docking station for the home computer so you can do all the downloads you want, no more buying cd's, no more burning the cd's etc. This is the direction that the marketplace is going and I am positive that you will see more manufacturers heading in this direction, why? Because they are being forced to by the recording industry, it is also "cheaper" for the manufacturer to have a device like this as compared to builing expensive laser transports etc.
Just $.02 worth of advice, you would be very wise to consider all options, buy what will do the best job for you.
