well I finally spent my $$ and all I can say is WOW!!! I know I have been reasearching the crap outa this but I think it was well worth it. I finally went with the following gear

kenwood 792 head unit
kenwood 12" flat sub in custom box
hertz 165 component set for the front
herts 165 coaxials for the rears
and a hertz high power HP4

I am running everything off the one amp and did away with the ability to fade. The HP4 is HUGE. I did not think it would ever be that big. My sub takes up one side under the seat and the amp the other side. 08 GMC Serria Crew Cab. I am so impressed with this setup I do not think I could ask for more. The only possible thing I could do would be to add another sub and another amp. Really I do not need the bass and I have no space other than putting the amps behind the rear seats. I hope to get some pics up here soon.

I am a bit dissapointed with the install my steering wheel controls are gone now but were to be hooked up. I will give a call nothing big and I do not have my XM any more they did not have a module, but I am sure I can get one. I may not even bother seeing that the 792 has the USB connection.
