sounds like splitting hairs, if i understand you right dukk, are you saying that the wces guys put the show on last minute to gain points for themselves, if thats the case i can assure you that thats not the case, their show was heavily promoted in the okanagan at our show and the 800-1000 people that flowed through that day heard about the show via p.a. alone more times than i have fingers. if the performace guys were smart they would have opened thier doors and taked advantage, hey pat is there a reason they didnt?

yes, they didnt cause they had nothing to do with it. plain and simple. This show did not happen as a get points thing cause only one member of our club is after points. i am iasca and most of the guys are not with any sanction. there was one person that showed up to get points and he was from the island. the show was posted 2 weeks in advance under custom but then switched to performance on the friday before, so it was posted as north shore and that address for a full 2 weeks. 2 weeks i belive is the right amount of time? isnt it. i am not affiliated with db drag so maybe one of you out there can clarify if 2 weeks is enough or not.

Db Drag and Usac in the North Vancouver at Performance Car Stereo. June 20th in conjunction with Father's Day and the West Coast Extreme SPL BBQ. Do not miss this one.
this is what the post reads. 12 days before on here and 15 days at db drags. is this not enough?

Pat, if you guys don't want points, than why bother trying to make it a sanctioned event? If you kept it to your original idea and just made it for fun you wouldn't have to pay membership fees, use term sensors or worry about any "red tape".

just cause i dont have a db drag membership doesnt mean that i do not see the pros of having one. well cause we(team SHadow or 10 other members) dont need points, and 2 do, doesnt mean that we wont host a db drag event. or an iasca. we(team Shdaow) are the only iasca member in our club. But i will host iasca evenst too. none of us are members with usac, but it was a full usac event. we already have had a non sanctioned show, and will have more, as well as db drag, iasca and usac shows too.

1) Have the event with a retail member within a reasonable distance from the event or hold the event at a retail member's shop.
2) Use the Term Lab sensors
If you don't want to do these things, that is fine; however, don't throw your hands up in the air and complain about "red tape". Anytime you want to do something sanctioned you have to make arrangements with the sanctioning body.
Just an idea, but what about starting your own "series" around the lower mainland or the province -- you can call it Outlaw SPL or something -- that way there is no "red tape".
