just wondering how everyone finsihes there pvc ports.. how do u make them look cosmetically goodn with carpet while still being strong...
any pics would help to...

gorrila glue... good stuff. just make sure you use it like it says on the instructions. then in the back if you can get to it. fiberglass from the box to the port. It will not go anywhere.
as for the cosmetic part. you can put a circle baffel over the top or the port, screw it down. then use a flush-cutting router tip to flush up the inside. then 1/4 round the outsides of the baffel.
routers come in handy if you know how to use them correctly and have the right bits.

Aeroport ends work, or you can get port flanges that finish pipe off nicely as well and simply slide into your port pipe.
If I don't have either I will use a 1/4" roundover bit on the inside edge to radius it and just install it flush with the carpet pile - NOT flush with the wood. Never looks bad.
