Thanks for the input everybody. Here's some issues I'm having, hopefully someone can help me out wit suggestions

Headunit
I want a quality head unit but in terms of features, all I care about is an AUX input and radio. Above that, the only unit that has caught my eye so far is the KIV-700.

Subwoofer
Should I look for a 15' or a 12' sub? I got tons of room (leaning towards the 15 but money seems to be the limiting factor here).
I tried finding a DCON sub, but no luck on ebay, this site, or kijiji.

Radio
Not that I'll be listening to the radio much after my install, but my current setup (stock with a really old Clarion deck) barely get's any of the local radio stations. Is this a deck issue or an antenna one?

The DCON 12 is $125 new. The Eclipse 750W 12 is $150, and they move as much air as a 15, if not more.

1.5 cubic feet = ported 10 or sealed 12.

Try the Eclipse in 1.5.

Is this a specific website or store you're referring to?

This guy wants some bang ... pick up MTX or Kicker on the internet ... I practically gave all my stuff away (so do many others) ... Good equipment, gets loud and it's cheap.
It's just bass.

Spend the money on quality components and amplification, rather than the bass.

Look at the SSA DCON 12". If you're on a budget than you can't go wrong. I'd get two of these for a 4.5 cubic-foot ported box @ 30-35 HZ, a 600W @ 1 ohm amp, a cheap deck, decent components, and a component amp. You wouldn't need an alternator or battery. If you sealed the cabin from the trunk and used deadening, it would be really sweet.

300W RMS
Efficiency 89.1 dB
$125
Dude, WTF!!!! He said he had a sante fe which is an suv. they are not trunks. Just a little FYI for you.

I realized that at post #7, so I then suggested a sealed or ported JL 18W6. I thought he wrote Sentra or something. I also mixed thread replies and thought he had only 1.5 cubic feet. That's what happends when you post at 2AM lol.

If you want bang for your buck, try an 18", because one is like having a little more than two 12's, and you get to run half of the RMS that you would with two 12's, and for the same performance.

Fi SSD 800W for $229 ($279 with options).

https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraud...iew.shopscript

Ebay search shows zero results for JL 18W6 and Kicker CVR18 ($100-$150).
Sonicelectronix.com for the $150 Eclipse.

All of these hardparts would do very well for you. There are other options, some of them cheaper, some of them better, but these ones seemed to fit the bill best.

A 10" for half of the cargo space... The Senta Fe has atleast 10 cubic feet at the back.

Thanks to all for the replies.

Headunit
Anyone have suggestions for a head unit? (only care about AUX input) I'm also interested in the KIV-700.

Radio
Not that I'll be listening to the radio much after my install, but my current setup (stock with a really old Clarion deck) barely get's any of the local radio stations. Is this a deck issue or an antenna one?

Subwoofer
I finally found the DCON 12' on from their website. I think I'm going to get that. I should go with the Dual 4 ohm coils (vs. the single) correct? And if I hook them up in parallel, I will need an amplifier that can do 300w at 2ohms? Something like this http://cgi.ebay.ca/MTX-JH300-CAR-AUD...item2a09933a2d

Components
I have contacted http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/onli...-200-00-a.html about the components. He has barely any posts, so I'm a little scared.
