hahaha way to be
I think the amps look kind of wierd
but finally, one ohm stable! woohoo! But what happened to the damping factor? It went from >500 to >50 on the sub amps and >500 to >300 on the othrs... it sorta looks like PPI is selling out. The SN ratio went from great to absolutely terrible, too. I'd have to say that I give the entire line a huge thumbs down.. it's an even bigger step backwards from when they went from the Arts to the PCXs and now this?
The sub amps, I think, actually qualify as "really bad amps." I would rather have a Type RF instead of these.

ok that explains why the dampning factor is now low on these amps........and it explains your IQ aswell.......

Some people liked them aty CES 2004 and others thought PPI totally missed the boat and a great opportunity to gain back some respect. I guess only time will tell. I didn't really ge ta good look at them so I can't comment. At least they didn't buy into the Audiobahn chrome thing this time.

Meh, it's just looks.

Class D circuitry seems to be more prevalent in these amps, so that would explain the lower s/n and damping ratio in the mono amps shown.

You wanna explain why 1 ohm is a good thing?

Woohoo off course the damping is gone, ITS 1OHM.

Yeah my amp will get a lot hoter run less efficient and work 3 times as hard.

"but at least I can say my amp runs at 1ohm, i must be cool because the guy down the street runs his at 4 ohm mono and it has way to much control for my liking!"

Here is the formal introduction to the new PPI line of amplifiers:

PPI has instituted a new MANLY amplifier. One that has a lot of "head" to it. Look at the long narrow shaft in the middle, and then the thicker metalic shaft around it. PPI has yet to say what they are going to call There new line. Its a plit between either "the penetrator" or the "PP" series.

It actually does look like male genetalia rapped in a metal looking male genetalia.
