This is on $500 alarm and or remote start jobs or Hu install.

Half the sale reps were coming to me to understand impedance loads and qhat worked with what. One sales guy sold an Eclipse deck with an infinity sub saying he could used deck power. The very next day he came back and the sale guy blame me and said that I told him....I left the company right after that very moment and the sales guy got fired. He wanted to fight me in the parking lots but the cops took him away! (don't ask which store cause I can't say)

The last time I' was in FS looking for a basic 1cuft test box the guy told me I needed two 12" instead. So I asked him why....he said more bass. Do I want more bass, I said....yes you always want more bass it the only thing that matters in car audio. I said: Soo is a college education and I walked out!

I could tell everyone so many horror stories and funny ones - but I think I'm done
hmmmm double post

with a car like that I wouldn't trust FS or BB to wash it!

MR2NR is out of BC he is by far the best guy to deal with. he will NOT set up up with something that he hasn't installed and/or used personally!

Last week Selective Sound installed a Python 902 alarm system in my car. I was very impressed and keep nocticing little things Davis did, like extra zip ties, fixing up some of my shiity cable runs to make it look better, all wiring protected with covers, etc. Small stuff maybe, but I noticed.
Spend some time reading posts from Avidedtr or Sasha if you are looking for higher end gear. Both of them know thier stuff. Read the install section or enclosure section to learn why you can make a $500.00 sub sound like it came in a box of Crackerjack, or a $89.00 sub sound good.

Edumucate yourself

if you got nice car, might as well put nice equipment in it. I would look at some image dynamic subs and maybe a nice sq style amp. i deffinatly wouldnt out fit an audi with an RF amp and MTX subs... thats just my opinion

Ya know - I had a friend with an Audi. It was a total piece of junk and caused him a lot of grief. NEVER buy ANY Audi because they must ALL be junk!!!

My brother had an Alpine deck and it broke. ALL ALPINE MUST BE JUNK - NEVER buy ALPINE!!

I got shitty coffee at Starbucks a couple of times. NEVER GO TO STARBUCKS - ALL their coffee is ALWAYS bad!!

Sounds ludicrous doesn't it? Remember this - a narrow mind paints with a broad stroke

Read more. Read a lot more. And while you do that reading, try to separate the opinion from the fact. Eventually you will get an idea of what you can get for what you can afford. There's a ton of good product out there and many places to get it.

I have a 2002 Lexus IS300 I got my sub and amp installed at Futureshop.
I have nothing but good things to say about the job they did.
You have to remember that every FS has different installers so you can't judge them on one or two guys.
Maybe I was lucky with the two guys I dealt with but I was so happy I'm getting them to install my HU, 6.5's and amp this Saturday.
If anyone cares it was the FS at Warden and Highway 7.
I can't say the same thing about the sale associates on the floor where they only care about making sales.
