Question

I got these 6.5" Sony Xplod Speakers and i installed them about a month ago. I am running them off a not so great cd deck which is a pioneer. The Xplod speakers dont sound that great when i crack it up. it sounds all distorted. Um i was just wondering whats the problem????

Is it the cd deck (pioneer) or the speakers?

they are not getting clean power, when you crank it up it tends to send a more distorted signal to the speakers, running a secondary amp would get rid of that and give you more volume form the speakers.

i have this problem, deck is decent, but speakers are still stock, as there are already components in my car as they came form the factory with some tweeters

most likely not as most decks are only good for 8-15Wrms lol. those speakers myst be rated for atleast 30-60W rms.
