In your application I would use the shallow mount drivers. Good bass response is more about the box than it is the sub, match them right and your results will be great. Match them wrong and bad things happen. The subs you have listed are brand new, as such, there is going to be limited responses about their abilities. However, based on the last years models they should do the job just fine. Will they rattle your teeth loose, no, will they give you what you are missing, yes.

Im more concerned about them in comparison to my Type S's. Maybe ill just pick up two of them again.

hmmm.... it sort of seems that you already have your mind made up on what you want to use, poeple have made their suggestions and your not being very helpful, we need to know what kind of room you have to play wth... or you can just build a new centre console and put your type s in there.

I know ill be shooting for a sub with a mounting depth less than 6 1/2 inches, if that helps.
