whats the difference between XM & Sirius ?

Angus 06-16-2005 11:00 PM

stations mostly... like content.. im not actually sure cause i mostly listen to just the boneyard on xm so not really sure about other content at all..

one of them has baseball i beleive.. and then possibly nhl and football.. but those i beleive are on differing carriers..

one has howard stern.. one has opie and anthony..

sattelite coverage also varied somewhat.. but im sure they will be addressing that now that it is approved for canada..

In edmonton here it works great (xm). Other then when im beside/in front of south facing high buildings then i get drop out..

on drive to fernie.. it very rarely cut out at all.. maybe 1x or 2x only when i was driving to the north of a steep moutnain..

XM=better technology=better SQ
Sirius=better programming

Well there's always competition out there, all those stores do car audio and there's still enough business to go around. I have seen some of your installs and I'm sure customers would be more than willing to buy it from you and get it installed by you. The good thing about Walmart and Canadian Tire and stores like that is they do not currently have install bays so if they sell a bunch of it, you are going to be getting all the customers walking in wanting it hard wired and installed. More business for you in that regard.

Actually the Canadian Tire here will install car audio. I called there and they quoted me $95 plus parts to do a deck in a 98 Sunfire!
