less holes = louder
So true Make shure the box is air tight.

Also less connections = less problems to go wrong.
</font>
well, if you run a ported box, it shouldnt matter if you had a couple of small holes drilled through the box for speaker wire, or should it?

does making it "air tight" referring to only sealed boxes?
</font>
The world record holder in street A last year told us that all his boxes are pressure tested with air, and he runs a ported box. Basicly plug off the port and put an air line in it, and if she flexes, fix it and if it leaks fix that too.
To seal up the speaker wire just use silicone or any type of sealent.

Ideally, yea the box should definatly be sealed up (excluding the port )

But, I remember a story about an installer who was super about this.... so his buddies drilled 3/4" hole (or something) in a spot where he wouldnt see it...

After a week since he hadnt noticed, they let him in on their little joke.....
