So is Quart made in China?
Tim,
I dont want to call you a liar, but none of the Rockford subs are made overseas....They are all made in Rockfords factory in Michigan. (thats why you did not see any in Phoenix). For 2004 Rockford spent millions of dollars re-vamping their woofer R&D & production lines in Michigan...they truly do use state of the art tooling etc.
I challenge you to let me know what Rockford woofer you had that was made in China. The woofers clearly state made in the USA on them.

Like I say - matters none to me where it is made, but you wanted an example.
^^^^Paul, I still hold my ground that you are misinformed. I just confirmed my position with someone that has worked at Rockford for many years.
Are you talking about the XLC series, because they used fibre cones.
The early HE woofers used fibre cones as well, switching to poly for the last couple of years of production.
The RFZ woofer had a 1 year head start with a poly cone before the HE woofers did.
And they were all made in the USA.
If you can get me a specific model number, I will check into it for you.
Regards

Tim,
You know as well as I do that even if a product is manufactured in the states it can have off-shore content.
There is legislation in place that dictates how much off-shore content a product is allowed to have and still be deemed manufactured in the states.
As Rockford is a public company I am certain they are on the level as far as any disclosure of where there product is manufactured.
The Punch series amps are made on the same assembly line in Arizona as the Power series amps.
Let's give this post a rest before it gets too personal.....many car audio companies have products manufactured in the states and off-shore, and good product can be had from both the states and off shore.
