Make sure you seal the doors up good with some sound damping sheet material. I would also mount the speakers to an MDF baffle, even if they fit good without one.
I have done quite a few F250-F350's here where the owner simply can't fit a sub (rig trucks and they have the console and under the seat filled) we always did Infinity 6x8's with an MDF baffle, and alot of sound damping (one layer on inner door skin where we could, two layers on outer door skin) with an amp they gave excellent bass response. You could substitute other brands of speakers, but I found the plus one concept worked well for those Infinities.
