sub kicks when system powers up

im running a BA 75.2 and a alpine head unit. when i turn my key on, the sub kicks( like a heavy bass note was played), as the head unit is powering up. after the head unit powers up everything seems normal. whats the problem?

Is your amp's remote wire hooked up to your head unit's remote? It sounds like your remote turn on is hooked up to your accessory wire on your ignition. It seems what is happening is that your amp is turning on before your head unit does. Maybe someone else has other ideas?

Try turning your key on, then turn the power off on your head unit, then check to see if your amp is on or not. This should give a better idea of whats going on.
