yes its big heavy and pointless for 99% of us but there is alot of cone area and max.its going to move alot of air.

Everyone knew that MTX was here and made half decent products. Now they have made a spectical of themselves. MTX in my opinion has sold out by doing these marketing tactics. Some of the other long time players didnt have to do things like this to be respected. Know what I mean? IMO

the woofer is very cool and has generated a ton of talk on dozens of forums everywhere. that is likely the main reason the woofer was ever created and should be looked at in that light. the silly claims by mtx are funny but again designed to get people talking. ever heard the saying showoff the lambo's to sell the vw's. this is a good example

^ and along that same thinking, a quick tour of MTX's site will reveal a 10, 12, and 15" "Jackhammer" that certainly are not as crazy as the 22 but will definitely sell cuz of the name and the association with it.

hmm ok, a jackhammer is almost 22 db's louder than the solo x...that is great!
so now i want to see how many solo x 18's my jackhammer to-be can take on......notice the number of subs again, 1 vs 12

OMG one jackhammer is still louder than 12 solo x18's!!! there is no doubt in my mind that i chose the right sub. THANK U MTX!! I CANT WAIT FOR MY JACKHAMMER TO ARRIVE IN MAIL!
......did MTX hire someone from this board to do their product R&D? bigbubba when were u gonna tell us? congrats on the new position!
