So I have been starting to seriously research these types of boxes but have not found much technical information allowing me to build one of my own. John from Powered4Sound also stated that he even leaked out his design a few years ago of an older model of a snail shell...
can someone point me in the right direction for building one of these enclosures?
I am not trying to be one of those people saying "I want the plans for the snail shell." I realize that the plans are secret.
However, I know that there are some close designs that are leaking around and sound close to what the SS sounds like...
There was even one guy on SD that had taken his box apart to look at how it was made exactly. Thats gutsy for a 500$ box....

It's not that the plans for the 'snail shell' are secret - just that there is nothing special about that box other than the hype that the builder has put on it. It is a vented box with a tapering vent - similar to a TLine with the vent inverted.
