i think so...the r would be over powered and beyond it's limits while the cvr's would be at their's and 2x the cone area.

I agree that 2 kickers would beat the one alpine type R, but two type R's would beat two kickers I would think.
Like you said, your getting the 07 model which is rated 400WRMS, so putting 1000W between two could end bad.
But as HEC said, he was running 1000W to one, while I was running 500W to one and burnt the Voice coil.
Just remember YMMV.

yeah, well i do have a mb quart discuss 1000.1 amp ive read they do rated but it is a maxxsonics product so who know if it is overrated by a couple hunder rms then the cvr would work perfect. frigg im waiting eagerly for ups to come to my dooor with my amp just finished buildin up a box for my batt just need the amp so i can wire all this crap up

type r is a 500rms with a 1500w peak.
im running my 12" type r now off a rockforde p1000 at 1 ohm pushin around 1400w.
hits hard and shakes the out of my car, lights dim like a **** looking to fix that this weekend with a more powerful alterator. plan on getting another 12" r and having it push the same. imo type r is waaaay better then kicker, but then i work with another installer who loves kicker, so once you have them you can decide, everyone likes the sound of something diff.

yeah thats why i wanna try some kickers out, some guy gave me an offer to trade my R for his 2 Rs cuz his take up too much room soo i might do that and run them off 1000rms but he wants cash on top soo depends
