Question Vehicle Laptop???

I will have a new laptop under my control in a few weeks and I was wondering if it is at all possible to hook up a laptop's audio into the auxilery inputs on my H.U. so that I can play the audio through my car??? If this is possible I have no need for getting a dvd player installed into my car which would save me about $300. If it is possible would I need any special kind of cords?

well if your deck has an aux input then all you need is an aux cable then connect it to the laptop's speaker out to the decks aux in...

OH DUH! Thank you. I fully already have a cord for that too. I asume my laptop will have a headphone output so I can just use the cord from my ipod. Thanks dude.

usually, a laptop will have line level out on a 1/8" stereo jack. line level out will sound better than speaker or headphone out. (this one does)
Most decks with aux in will allow you to adjust input level.

im going to bring back this thread cause i got a question along the same lines, i wana use my laptop all the time in my car to play music, is there anyway i can get away with not using a deck or something like that?

i know this is a bad example but i kinda wana do a similar set up in my car, it was from an episode of pimp my ride (i know, i know) where they had a 7 inch touch screen in the front and a laptop in the back and the laptop was playing all the music. is there anyway 2 set that up easily?
