From what I see, he asked for a 35hz tuning, he gave them t/s. he got the tuning alright.
The re website does not have specs for his model xxx (05), from the looks of it they took the ported specs for 06+ model, which is ported: compact 1.7@35, optimal 2.2@34
and this is really way off the map for his sub.
i also bet that the 2.2cu ft volume that you think it should be is net volume after ports. not like it is....
you need more volume.
good job. money in the ******* man... sorry.

A few of you guys didn't read what I wrote, his dog drooled and licked the out of my cone & surround, and the guy watched it happened, and didn't wipe it off. I didn't care so much, it won't hurt it - but comon, that's just ignorant. One guy said "okay, so we should make it as big as we can because it's a good sub" yada yada, there
s lots of room left in my trunk, so why did they give it 1.59 cuft, why didn't they take the port space into account? It's not what I asked for if it's 1.59 @ 37, so which is it, 2.2 @ 35 or 1.59 @ 37? There is something wrong with using a 2008 model year box recommendation for a 2005 model. I WASN'T AWARE IT WAS TUNED TO 35HZ (or 37) UNTIL FATHER YULI TOLD ME. They didn't know. I assumed they guessed the port size and hoped for the best. After you take out the port airspace out of the internal volume, how many cuft does the sub need, 2 cuft, how does that work?

Alternatively, you can post all those measurments here - the external dimentions of the box and dimentions of the port - and someone will tell you what your box's internal volume is and what it is tuned to.
from what you posted in your first post the box is tuned to 35hz.
and i really really really doubt that the XXX sub displaces nearly 0.6 of a cube. I'll have to call bullshiit on that one to whoever said the dude's box is 1.5something after displacement (unless of course you also subtracted the port). The most that sub displaces is 0.25. Do the math.

That's why you build your own box.. hell for that price, you can buy the tools, the wood, and rent a garage for an hour, and your knowledge (free). and still come out richer then when you did coming out of that shop lol..
OR at least ask around to see how their work is before handing them over the green.
My deux cents

now....... reading these posts i do see an issue.
First lets begin with the price, 300 is actually not that bad, you have to realize that they spent propabply 3.5 4 hours on that enclosure if it was done right including design work. My shop rate is 80 an hour + materials. you do the math.
secondly, I do undestand where your comming from with the shop not knowing what thery are doing, he should have had some pride to wipe off you equipment.
and for the love of god not have pets at work, ( to me it shows no respect for customer cars ) anyhoo......
Now if they built the enclosuer to the website specs thats fine sometimes its hard to find the specs of older equipment...... but if the homework wasent done then it will not preform of course. Did you have specs of the driver to give to the shop or did you expect them to find them ?
