the t/s parameters mean nothing. If you told them that you wants a 2.2 cube box and didn't mention if that would be before or after displacement then thats your problem. They had to guess because you weren't specific on what you wanted..of course they would guess the smalelr one because then they know it will fit...if they guess big and then it doesn't fit in your car they are remaking it. Next time spend $30 on wood, $5 on screws, $5 on glue, $10 on carpet and build you own then if its wrong its your own fault not that it really makes a huge differance anyway 1.7 cubes or 2.2 cubes both will be fine in fact you may like the smaller box better.

yep, the box internal from the dimensions he gave is 2.33 cubes... subtract sub displacment, port displacement, and port wall displacement... I got 1.59 cubes

It sounds decent, and gets plenty loud. Songs like 'can't be touched' by roy jones jr or any 3-6 mafia is a lot of output.

I need front speakers now, I have to put them at -10 or they distort, they sound horrible. The sub handles the power fine with the amp and deck gains full. It's not picking up low frequencies (20hz) as well as I thought it would. By comparison, using the same amp, 2 Eclipse SW8200's (670W RMS) sealed sharing 750W sounded much better and had more output. If I add another woofer (I got 3 of em) it'll see 1.33 ohms, about 1300W on that amp? SO next setup is 3 12's sealed with 2200W. I just need a box and 2200W. The XXX sounds a LOT sloppier than the 2 sealed 12s, by a long shot. The SW's actually move a few mm more than the XXX lol.
