If it's not a live demo it's not valid. If there are differences on the disc how do I know that the signal was not altered in some way? I know when I listened to My Disc from A2K, I could not hear distortion till about 5% with music. I doubt many here would here at that point, some people I have done the test with cannot hear distortion till 10% with music. So are you saying cables can add up to 10% distortion to the signal.

Interesting product that CD is, but how can you trust a CD made by a wire manf. comparing it to it's competitors? Of course, the company making the CD will have the best-sounding wire.

Hard to believe there was such little difference in sound in that amp test. You would think that components using so many parts and connections would definitely resolve differences in models. If there is so little difference in amps...how much can there be in wires?
I have tested many wires(informally) over the years for my own education and can find no difference in sound to satisfy me. My choice in wires are always made on reliability, price, and appearance...in that order.

Well Veeman - if you think about it though, is it not the goal of every amp designer to make the amp as transparant as possible? To literally output an exact duplicate of the input signal only louder? I mean, if it doesn't then the signal is 'distorted' right?

I find it odd that as soon as a double blind test is involved though it seems that while everyone hears differnently nobody can tell the difference in wire

I have said it before check out the Cable Company they will let you 'rent' cables and audition the differences for yourself. Be an individual and make up your own mind.
