I am going to be making my first sub enclosure for my two JL 10W0-4's but I don't know where to start as far as sizing etc.

Do I simply look up the speaker specs and find out how much air space is optimal?

What about port size etc?

I have lots of room as this is going in a 4runner. I want a ported box that sounds great with mostly hip-hop music.

Im not sure where to start on planning a box for two subs which is ported. I can get friends to help with experience in making boxes, but I need to do my homework first.

Thanks a lot,

I'd start here...
JL 10w0-4 manual / specs

2.5 cubes ported, tuned around 32-35hz should sound nice.
