What's this worth?

Just trying to get an idea of what it would cost to have something like this made. The enclosure is sealed and about 2 cubes in volume. It will be painted and others will have routed speaker rings. Glass is roughly a 1/4" thick and the undulations you see in this pic are gone now but i don't have a pic . Reason that I'm asking is that I've done a few of these for myself and while I have no intention of making a bunch of them I have a couple of friends who want something similar. I've heard prices ranging from $500-$1500 and quite honestly I just would like to know what your average shop charges for this kind of work. Is it by job or just an hourly rate? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It mainly is done by the hour. Anywhere from $60-70/hr but it has to be perfect fit and finish to warrant that price. If you calculate your supply expense and add $20-30/hr you are most likely doing ok.

Thats for a 12" sub . The pic isn't very good. It still has a lot of little flaws in this pic that have since been fixed and now its smooth as glass.
