Will this hurt my sub? Quick answer needed.

Im selling my RE to my friend. His amp is a rockford 1000 watt monoblock with 2 sub hookups. My sub (which is dual 1) is 3k RMS. Will it hurt the sub to use this as a temporary amplifier? And how the he|l do I wire it to get 1 ohm??

It won't hurt as long as you don't try to get 3k rms out if it and you cannot wire your sub to 1 ohm unless you only connect one voicecoil. You can wire to 2 or .5 ohms.

Thanks for the info guys, looks like I'm trading it to someone instead of selling it to my friend anyway. Would a DC lvl5 18 be a good trade for this sub? Im paying shipping and giving mine for his. Just wanted some opinions about this.
