Your opinion on Blaupunkt THA555

Hello everyone

First off, forgive me if this topic has been covered, I didn't find anything by searching.

I'm thinking of upgrading my car sound system by adding the Blaupunkt THA555 to my stock HU and stock speakers. I'd add with that 10'' sub in the back and call it a day. My reasons for the Blaupunkt are mainly price and ease of installation (with the harness). I'm kind of a noobie at this stuff though I've been reading a lot in the past weeks. I've decided that I didn't have the money or the time to get too elaborate on this little project and that I'd like to keep the car as stock as possible since I change cars relatively often (change cars, just change the harness!).

I'd like to know if any of you guys have had any experience with this thing and your opinions on it. From what I've read here, some of you guys know their stuff!

Thanks for your time!

Well I have never used it but they seem top notch.

One thing though, I beleive I remember reading something about the 5 channel being the only model requireing a seperate power wire... and I think a clue to this is when reading the description for the model line up, notice that there is a star after the note on including power

...harness adapters supply every connection necessary, including power*, ...

You're right, I found this when snooping a bit :

Including plug with screw connections for supply voltage and loudspeaker connection and cable remote control for bass level

Should I tap a fuse in the fuse box with the power supply cable? Or should I go directly for the battery connector?

I would go straight to the battery.
