Your Opinions : My system setup
#11
I think the quality of the components is great, but the JBLs gotta go (but you knew that). All the components mentioned would be great, I would include the usual suspects in my shopping list (Alpine, JL, Focal, Morel, Scan, Dynaudio, ID etc.) spend the time to say I have picked out what I believed to be the best front drivers for me.
I do not like rear speakers for day to day use, only for rear passenger’s benefit. The 'rear fill' seems to change the overall tone and sounds coming from behind tend to distract. They also don’t do much for improving your competition results (maybe at finals?)
I am a little surprised at your choice of an 8" driver in the rear but as long as you don’t thump it should be great.
All things said this setup should make you very happy.

^ He's got what I am assuming is a 750watt amp on one of the scariest 8s in a vented box in a CRX. He'll have the thump!
As for rear fill - I would avoid it in a CRX simply cuz the rear speakers are closer to your head than the front ones

^ there you go I do not have the overall car audio knowledge that the DUKK has. Of course, I am not the false audio god either! An 8" in a home setup can do pretty well but in a car the volume advantage (smaller box) would be singnificant.

Looks like you are well on your way to completing a nice system.
Good choice on the amps, those zapco AG amps are fantastic.
For your front stage, there were some great suggestions mentioned above. CDT makes some awesome sets, as does rainbow. Check out some of the higher end focal gear as well, like the polykevlar and utopia. Check to make sure your doors can accept deep midbass drivers if you want to do a three-way setup. Don't be afraid to look into 2-way systems though, they can sound just as good when tuned and installed properly. If you are looking into high end gear (as I can see you are) make sure you get your front sound stage installed professionally. I'd strongly recommend kickpanels, especially with gear of that calibre.
As for rear fill, from a SQ standpoint, they almost always have negative overall effects. If you want to run some rear-fill regardless, just stick your JBL coax speakers in the rear and see how it sounds. Just don't spend any money on speakers for the rear. Save it for some rainbows or something
Good luck with the install! Keep us posted, and if you get a chance to take any pictures.. post em up!
