I've got a Yellow top group 31 the largest available...and so far I like it's deep cycle abilities...I drained it a few times down to 11.3 volts because I sometimes listen to my stereo with my car off...and it has charged back up to full charge with no problems...12.7 volts with the car off. Although it takes a good ALT to charge it back up to full....fortunatly my alt is soley for the battery and stereo, seperate from the cars.

The Orbital Extreme is very close to the Optima batteries I believe (not sure if it's the red or yellow)

To get the Hawker Oddessy batteries just go to http://www.genuinecanadianaudio.com

It'll be shipped to you for free
</font>
Thanks for the reply. Oh man, I didnt realize how expensive those are. I cant afford that.

Why do you guys think about adding another battery instead of totally replacing my existing one?

the optima group 31 blue tops are really nice batteries...I have one righgtt now and I used to own a 1700...I can burp time and time again with the car off and hit the same number with the blue top so I would definately take the blue over the 1700...the only problem is the group 31 is huge so its hard to fit in most cars

I dont have enough room for anything huge without relocating stuff

My battery is 51R so I only have about 9.5x5.25x9 inches to work with (LWH).

Definitely leaves group 31 out lol.
