class d for midbass?
while some class D amp are cleaner than others over 100hz, my bd1000a1 was really not clean and was lacking SQ big time over 100hz when I powered my cdt EF-8 with them. Bd1000a1 have a good resale value, you could easily sell it and get a high power AB-class amp
The elemental Design 9.2X is designed to be 3ohm stable bridged, so 1.5ohm per channel. it push 300w rms @2ohm x2, and approx 350w rms @1.5ohm per channel.
I currently use a Nine.2 on my cdt hd-52 components and i'm very satisfied with the SQ and power. It sound better than Kicker KX or PhoenixGold XS
