SQ guys... knock it off.

You don't "get it" so just leave us SPL guys alone.

We don't go in to the SQ section and start complaining about your installs, so why do it to us? If you don't like what we do, or how we do it, please just keep it to yourself.

I'd go with a good 3-4 runs of pos and neg.

I think you have a single run of 4g in there now, right? Anything has to be better than that!!

If you look at the post that says 'a bit of ghetto' it was done by Livin Loud. At least he is man enough to admit it. If some newbie comes on here and sees that, and looks at Prolifik's post count, and everybody oohing and ahhhing over the pics, they are going to take a chisel to their firewall and not use a fuse. When their car burns down they are going to blame CCA. It is the SQ guys responsibility to point out that the install is not safe to keep the newbies from doing that in their daily drivers. I mean really, another ten minutes invested would have improved the safety of the vehicle so much. If you aren't going to run a fuse for SPL at least make a decent cut into the firewall and have something to prevent the wire from rubbing on said cut. How can you even argue with this? </font>
I'm not arguing that it's not dangerous. If done improperly it can definitely cause problems... BUT...

If a noob comes in here and thinks it's a good idea for him to run 8 runs of 1/0 for his POS and NEG, he has other issues. Even if we did say "put a fuse and make a clean cut" he wouldn't.

Either people are going to be smart and ask questions or they're going to be a moron and ghetto rig it.

There is enough info out there on how to properly wire a car that this really shouldn't be the 1 and only place they look.

I just think everyone is bustin on Prolifik. I say good job, I had to run 4 runs in my car and it was hard. I would be proud of fitting another 4 in it that's for sure !!!!

Good work, thanks for the pics.

Enjoy the SPL

It's illegal... just about all SPL orgs require that you keep the battery in its stock location
