Well I am part of the newly formed "Fusion Race Program" ... I got the amps modded directly by Fusion and delivered to me.

I'll have to see what the amps can do... right now I don't know what impedence I'd be running them at.

I've heard the Fusion HU's run a 8v pre-out.. I may have to pick one of those up to make the amps happy

Yeah I'd figure out your cars Res. Freq. with a sealed box. Then I think you're suppost to tune your ported box 3-5Hz below that.

Tune it to the cars res. frq. for competing. Then just make a longer port plug for street. Longer would tune it way lower.

What I do is I start with a box and make the port removable and start with it long.. then take 1" at a time testing each time I cut until I find out which was the loudest.. Yes it is very time consuming but every tenth helps

For daily driving tunning yeah, not for SPL.

The irregular shape and softer wood will make a difference.

i'd stay away from 2x4's.. i've often heard of people loosing by bracing with wood.. but i guess it's definatly work a test or two

another way to brace which seems to work fairly well is street rods..

I use threaded rod for bracing...works like a charm.

what you can also try is to make braces inside the box. This will need to be tested of course but if you make braces out of MDF that are inside of the box this will add rigidity and will also break up any standing waves inside. again this all depends on how large the box is, obviously if you will need to have braces that are 40" long and only .75" thick..... I should not have to explain what would happen there. I have never tried this my self but in 2002 Riprock used boards to break up waves inside the enclosure and it was a large box. If you are going to try this in big boxes just use a material that is non porous, and if you do use MDF I would suggest you coat it with resin first. TEST TEST TEST!!!! some boxes will want to flex and by adding bracing your SPL will go down so make sure you document what happened in both cases.
