interesting question about inside car shaking
Father Yuli is absolutely correct in his advice. I'd just like to add that the lower the frequency, the more the car will shake. However, it will not be as loud. A happy medium for the "street" enthusiast would be 5-10hz above the lowest frquency where your car shakes the most. We humans don't hear lower frequencies as an average below 30hz., but it's at these lower hz. where sound causes more "destructive vibrations".
Do what Yuli says and you can't miss.

yes that is actually possible, most cars have two tuning points. most of the time they are close to each other but im sometimes, like in your case, they are far apart.
i bet u have another peak somewhere in the 40's.
i have two as well, one was 48 and another is 52, its easier to tune my boxes to peak at 52 so i went with that.

those are basics for spl lol, i dont have a PHD in anything, i have an spl meter along with an suv and some gear i can test with. and i read/listen to what other loud spl guys say.

MTA is right i have a good helper
DeerKiller u mean how do u tune for spl? u do it the same way, keep the mic on the windshild.
when ppl 'tune' their box what they do is apply small changes to the box and burp every time they change something to see if the spl has gone up or down and to see if the peak note had changed.
it should be noted that u should not test/tune at a very low volume!!! it is very important that your tensting at your testing volume (which should be less than full out) your peak note is the same as your full out burp volume.
Example: if i burp at volume 5 my peak is 54hz but at my full out volume which is 15 the peak is at 52hz. So i have to find a volume between 5 and 15 where the peak is 52hz. In my case it's volume 10.
