Need some direction

Im Newer to spl, definetly not clueless but not great ,I want to come to shows and compete next year plan on saving over the winter.What im asking is What gear should i be looking into for the best results etc? I drive a 91 Ford xplorer ,eddie bauer edition.Its got sunroof if that makes a diff.Any imput would be great.Im thinking somthin like 2 12's.budget be between 2 and 3K aftr i save up.Need to buy sum 0 ga aswell outta that and i have a good deck already.

all you need is a pair of good 10's that can take 1500-2000 rms

and a real 3k amplifier that can burp at a low load. in that car you should do 150+ with the suggested gear no problems.

also need a good battery, a real battery and not the stuff from canadian tire and atleast 4 runs of 0 gauge.

oh, and get a meter.

Do i even wanna kno what a meter costs? And Would i need upgraded alt or..

Can i ask you a few brands i should look into? i kno a few but not to many

All ive used is stuff like Type R's T1s n t2's etc etc i wanna get like right into spl

no keep the stock alt. get a proper spl battery like a Hawker or NorthStar Batteries and also get a proper battery charger.

for amps, get an Earthquake PHD10, best budget spl amp. for subs, anything with 1500 or more RMS handling will work. I think you'd probably break into 150's with a pair of Kicker L7's. but they wont last long.

Atomic Loud Speaker
Fi Audio

there are many more tho

meter costs around $650, thats not including a laptop or a computer that runs it.
