In street the deck has to be in the dash of the car, in every other class you can run the HU outside of the car. Apparently for some shows you can stay inside the car as long as you use hearing protection.

Maybe at a big multi point event, but I've never seen it happens in any event.
Hell at the 3x Iasca show last week there were lots of peolpe in the cars.

JT is right... in DB Drag they only seem to care at the triples and some doubles... depending on the shows

Generally if it is a single point event, the judges will let you sit inside the car and keep whatever score you get. If it is a multi point event then that's generally where the scores start getting capped at 140.

it depends upon the officiating judge, rule allows you to qualify inside to car,but if the vehicle exceeds 140, the H/U must be operated by remote control,or the score is counted as 140db.
removal of hearing protection will result in disqualification.
