OK I have a question since there are alot of people here with the knowledge of spl. I'm a newbie in this area. I enjoy working with car audio and have installed many systems. But now I'm trying this spl thing out. Now in a compitition what are the classes? And are the wattage classes based on total "car" wattage of total wattage going to just the subs? Is it RMS or peek? I know these are REAL NEWBIE questions but if someone could direct me in the right direction it would be good.

As for my system I will be running for front end a set of Polk MOMO 5.25 Coax with a Polk MOMO 6.5 component set and rear mid base will be anouther set of Polk momo component 6.5 no tweeters, and for subs I really can't make up my mind, I did buy a audiobahn 18" today but would then like 2 12" to go along with it or 10" would do OK too. My amps are coustic 1600db (800 rms 2 ohm) and 2 coustic 1200s amps 300 rms 4 ohm stereo. With a set of coutic 12's I already am doing over 130 db with my amp gains turned half way. The only problem is the subs won't handle much more, and my deck is an eclipse with 5volt outputs.
SO what should I do with the sub area???
