Thanks for the pics!

(not including the battery under the hood) In the trunk it should be two runs of positive and 2 runs of negatives from battery 1 to battery 2.

Now where should the positive and negative to the amp come from? battery 1 or battery 2? or should the positive come from battery 1 and the negative from battery 2?

Thanks all! Finally, a forum that people dont get flamed on :P hahaha

I wouldn't suggest doing that. The amp will pull more current from the closest battery first. The reason why you run all your batts into a distro block is so that the amps will connect to the distro as well and pull from all the batteries a bit more evenly.

if the batts are connected together it really doesnt matter. do whatever is easier to work with.

we went with the central bus bar idea b/c our set up had many, many wires and running them all from one batt to the other and then to the amps would have been a nightmare.

in your case i'd do what bland (Dave) suggested. just go straight to one of the batteries in the trunk. the simplicity of that set up will probably outweight any advantages of going with a central bus bar.

But when connecting the amp, do i use the positive from 1 battery and the negative from the other battery? Or how would it work best?

I think bus bars would be a neat idea to work with, but it might be a bit of a hastle now that i think of it since theres not much room to play with

hook it up to the same battery, positive and negative.

if you are into using fuses you have to fuse the wire between the batt and the amp.

doesnt matter which batt you go from if the batteries are connected to each other.

Have you guys ever hooked up your amps to a large battery bank? I read u clamped 12k out of 2 batteries, I wonder what they'd do on a bigger battery supply?

Andrew: get that golf loud this summer. I'll be in MTL alot.

No, that would change class for the vehicle. Street c is two batteries only.
