5 Channel amps - suggestions?

While there may be a difference amongst high end amps, your ears will prefer a better set of speakers over a "higer end" amplifier is my bet. Good to see that you short listed Focal speakers, consider Morel as well. You will go way further in your quest for good sound with better speakers vs. a higher end amplifier. The older Audison 5 channel in the LRX series was a favorite to use for one reason only. IF the customers needs suited it, it was the smallest chassis 5 channel amp available. It's downfall though due to the small size and class AB design was heat. The longer and louder you wanted it to run, the hotter it would get, the sooner it would turn off. This is something to consider with amplifiers in general, know the needs of the system as it pertains to how you will use it.
