Well............. that was the reply I got from the email.
This is what I requested in the original email:
Hello Moe
I have a question concerning what class should one be competing in.
The main issue is that there are some mods done to the speakers and some electronics in my system. But have not recieved any free products, money, support from any manufacture for building the system. I know in the pass.. it will be in PRO class. I'm just curious if that is still current?
Regards
Joe

Many people have modified gears without saying a thing in the pass...... whats the big deal? I have seen guys do opamp mods, power supply mods etc in the pass. even in the novice class.
What if a store sold decks with the mods? and they offer this service to the general public. for example: Nak CD-700 stock goes for $2600 cdn and a hotrod one for $4500 (with upgraded power supply, BurrBrown 1704 K grades, I/V Ultra fast descret transisters etc, etc.)

The tweeter/xover slope/ and cars acoustics plays a roll in weither or not you need to play the mid up that high (6+khz). For example the focal's tn51/52 with its waveguide can be used at a lower xover point (5-5.5khz).. The car can cause variables as well. MY suggestion is to grab a Dire straights CD with the song calling elvis on it. Play that song and adjust the xover point tell the vocals don't seperate to the left/right. If you can get that song sounding right, then your doing OK, as a starting point anyway.
