Sounds like woman problems!

Frankly mids are frustrating, with detail and clarity they tend to sound lean, with a natural fullness in the lower midband they tend to sound 'identifiable' (i.e. that sounds like a speaker not a live instrument). The driver that can be transparent to changes, that is, sound significantly different as the CD is changed is the one to get. At CES this year I heard a speaker from Magico (sp) in the Rowland room it was very much transparent but it isn't even close to affordable.

Thank You VWmk5!!

I would go with the 4 inch ones.

The other consideration would be coincident source at the ideal PLD position...any thoughts on this when used in combo w/tweets in the A-pillars?

Islandphile, Scott Buwalda just came out with his legatia set of high end speakers that you may want to look at. As you may or may not know, Scott is considered to be one of the top guys out there in high-end expert car audio. You can check out his line at www.buwaldahybrids.com. Check out the specs on that new 3" he has. It runs 150HZ to 10000Hz! Looks very well built too.
