so even like a $70 infinity sub will be as good as a $150 Type R?

will i hear differences btwn a sub with single voice coil vs a dual VC sub?

well, the differences in what most refer to as "sq" will likely be minimal. the type r will likely be a fair bit louder though.

keep in mind that these are all just generalities though.

i think the best thing for you is to get down to some dealers and start demoing. ya know, there is a real good dealer in Abbottsford if you have the time

There is a guy on www.revscene.net selling a Infinity Reference 10" with box for $120 obo. Cut and pasted, as you have to be logged in to view ads:

************************************************** ********
"Comes enclosed in a carpeted box.

Infinity Reference 10" Subwoofer
-250W RMS
-1000W Max

Does the job, and pounds pretty good as well.

$120 OBO

PM if interested.
Thanks!"
************************************************** ********

If you are interested let me know and I can put you in contact with him through the board.
