looking into these 2 brands to put into front door speakers of my 94 accord. I have a sub (jbl powered by polk and which i love so far) and aftermarket sony deck (i know its on my long list of things to replace).

polk mm525:

JL C2 (the 525s have disappeared.. but these will do.)

now i realise there is a large price difference, is it worth it?

any of your humble opinions would be most helpful thnx

JL makes very good products with excellent quality, and sound, but they are severely over priced compared to similar products. Having been in the car audio hobby for 20+ years, I can say that I've had virtually no quality problems with any good brand name products I've ever used. As far as SQ, that's subjective and only you can decide what sounds good to you. Shop with your ears, wallet, and brain knowing that good quality is available in all good brands.

I've had both and prefer the Polk Audio over the JL any day of the week.
