Could I?

Would it be possible to use a DD1508 as a dedicated midbass driver? I have 2 sitting around and i was just wondering if i could put them to use for some more midbass punch

You could. It's a bit of a waste and somewhat overkill, but it will give you lots of midbass.

I'm sure that you could trade your subs in for some proper midbass. I have a top of the line Pioneer Premier 6.75" "Made in Japan" kicking around. Wanna trade? BNIB

why not? it's an 8" driver, that has response in the mid bass territory...by now I would have had them in 4 different boxes and testing them with varying amounts of power to hear what it sounds like. I love the mid bass...and for me, front or rear doesn't matter...impact, clarity, and tonality are most important.
