Like I mentioned earlier, show up here and I will have my employees "slaves" install the Morel speakers in your truck and let you listen to them on your terms.

The thing I don't like about most coax speakers are the poor crossover design/components.

I'd suggest getting a component set that can be mounted coaxially.

that sounds like and interesting idea, what brands do you have in mind? i know kicker makes a couple sets, and boston acoustics. there must be others, i think morel's high end coaxial's have a nice crossover with them.

Quite a few manufacturers offer coaxials with outboard crossovers or component sets that have a coaxial configuration option.

Some coaxials, like Infinity, the old Xtant, and Morel run the tweeter wire out the pole of the mid so you can modify them to have an external crossover.

Also, depending on the depth of the speakers, I have seen people simply flush mount the tweeter out of a component set into the grille for the woofer.

one of the Hertz dealers said that the coaxial's can be modded to run an amp channel to each driver actively crossed over (mid and tweet respectively). and i am possitive that the tweeter wiring runs through the mid pole piece. do you think that in this config it will sound alot better than the simple crossovers that come with them? they do sound quite nice stock, but if it is a real big improvement then it could be worth looking at for sure.

thanks the duce
