martina mcbride, (country) " safe in the arms of love" has a very interesting overlay on the background vocals that gives shivers up the spine in the right setup as well, i have sold a lot of home speakers using this track

 

i like across the universe sound track in my car.

 

Some years back ago, I started buying certain sound track type CD's that were published by a company called Telarc.

All of these disks were digitally recorded live and transferred to CD without any processing of any sort.

There were several titles, like Time Warp, Chiller and Star Tracks 1 & 2, anyone else had these CD's ??.

 

MJ's Thriller, one of the best quality recordings ever!

 

Grimmis, yea I agree, Telarc puts out great quality cd's.

Gumby, MJ's Thriller still sends shivers up my spine so many years later.

 

My personal favorite of the Telarc disks is still Time Warp, with that massive kettle drum hit at the start of the Star Trek:TMP track, then followed by the horns and trumpets of the Battlestar Galactica track.

 

Grimmis, Sheffield Labs also puts out excellent sound quality cd's.
